Sure highlighting works but not what I want! Lots of people want to turn it 'AUTOCORRECT' to me means automatic correction of missplelled <= words. WHY IS THIS NOT POSSIBLE WITH A BRAND NEW WIN10 machine?! All I have to do is make sure it doesn't substitute nonsense words, but I can mostly type madly and not have to go back to correct every underline. I often use a Chromebook which cheerfully autocorrectsĮverything for me. Got the red underline all right but no autocorrect.) I am a lousy typist. I'm also new to Windows and have been going nuts trying to figure out what I am doing worng. If so, why is the setting called 'Autocorrect misspelled words'?Īnd perhaps more importantly, why is there another setting right under it labelled 'Highlight misspelled words'? am I to understand that - as far as Microsoft is concerned - autocorrect isn't actually supposed to automatically correct anything?
